Inspiring firefighters to participate in research

PROJECT: SOLAR

CLIENT: PHOENIX AUSTRALIA

We were engaged by Phoenix Australia and Twiga Group to encourage NSW firefighters to participate in an important research trial.

Following a thorough research process consisting primarily of stakeholder interviews, we created an engagement strategy designed to speak to NSW firefighters about why they should participate in trial for a new mental health and wellbeing management app that Phoenix Australia was developing. Not only did we find that had to centre relatable firefighters in this story, but we also had to address the many barriers and concerns firefighters have related to mental health if we were to inspire them to participate in the trials.

In addition to this film, we have produced films for Phoenix Australia promoting PTSD awareness day, as well as a series of five videos designed to address the various barriers first responders and their families experience when reaching out for mental health support. Below is what Em Coy (Twiga Group) had to say about working with Venn.

“I am so grateful for your expertise in guiding us through the complex process of developing and telling our story. It has been refreshing to work with a team that is so capable and flexible. I really appreciated you fitting your process around our multitude of constraints. It was clear from the start that you and your team were dedicated to understanding our needs and then delivering over and above our expectations. I look forward to the opportunity to work together again soon.”
